Exactly what the questions asks, everyone strives to feel better, so what have you changed in your life to try and make things better.
I've started exercising, eating more healthy and gave up the cigs.

Hi Ashley, I've gave up coffee about 3 myths back. Wen my anxiety was at its worst last yr I stopped the coffee. Wen I started feeling more me I started drinking it again. I noticed my anxiety went back up so I gave it up all together. I also do abit of yoga in a morning. Started my Zimbabwe again once a wk, plus I take the doh along walk which refreshes me. Not that I've done that since the weather as got so hot cuz it's to hot for the dog xx
Zumba I mean lol
Haha I did wonder with the Zimbabwe lol,
I'm actually starting Hot Yoga on Tuesday, plus I've gave up everything Caffeine related x
Hi Ashley
Here's a few things that helped me...
Short walk every day
30mins Pilates twice a week
As I got stronger I started jogging gently (Nhs guide couch to 5k)
Drink loads of water
Cut down caffeine (only 3 hot drinks a day)
Cut down on sugar
Eat as much fresh fruit and veg as I can
No alcohol... I miss this but I'm on meds and if I drink I'm a zombie for 3 days
Read dr Claire weekes self help for your nerves
Used this site to help others and get advice plus have a giggle now and then too
I make time for "me" now and it wasn't until I became really ill that I realised I spent zero time on "me"
Love eve x
Hi eve I've also cut down on suger and have had no alcohol to well ova a yr. I'm also half way thou the book and finding it really helpful xxx
Hi Donna
Sorry for the late response it's hard to keep track without email responses. I find sugar sends my anxiety sky high and I've read dr Claire weekes book 3 times she makes so much sense. I feel really calm when I read it its like she's talking to you take care love eve x
Thats better donaf , love the pic & nice OH
XXX
Hi Eve
Well you have certainly changed a lot in your life. How do you feel over all for it? Xx
Hi Ashley
I've made massive changes to my life, I had to as I was sooo ill last year. I'm a million times better than I was. I still have to keep an eye on myself and I'm not cured by any means but I feel much healthier than I've done in years. The stuff above is the self help stuff I put in place and I've also had therapy and meds too take care love eve x
This is really interesting, I'm finding cutting down on sugar really hard. I find everything I want to eat has sugar in it!
Hi Winter
I have also tried to cut down on sugar but as you say it's in everything I want to eat as well. So basically I've just tried to way more fruit and veggies to counteract the sugar intake if that makes sense lol
Xx
Trying to cut down on caffeine but finding it difficult
I immediately feel judged when I see a comment like this. What did I do to help myself makes me think what did I do to cause the problem.
No one is judging...I'm only asking what everyone has done to try and feel better.
No one asks to get a cold but I take hot drinks and painkillers to feel better.
Same thing
Agora
We don't judge each other on this site, we share information to help each other. It's an interesting question and it is helpful to see how others have got well again or what has worked in terms of easing symptoms etc. noone asks to be ill but if we stick together we can help each other. If a post or question makes me feel uncomfortable then I skip it. Take care love eve x
Like some on this I have cut out pretty much all caffeine but have the odd green tea. I don't drink at the moment but that's jut because I don't want to. And I've started going church and ironically am close to finding a therapist through association of Christian counsellors
Not sure about giving up cigs tho
End of the day you have got to have some vices
I walk every morning before work, drink camomile tea , meet with friends when I can,. Have read Claire Weeks book twice and also Dr. Tim Cantopher's book twice. Great books giving great insight to our illness. I have had CBT and have finished now. I try and meditate and I listen to relaxation tapes. I also practice deep breathing to help with my anxiety. Can't think of much else apart from positive thinking.
I do a lot of walking and try to keep busy. Even if its household chores I find it helps as I am 'doing something' and not focusing on thinking! I don't drink or smoke. have started taking B vits and magnesium. Try and focus on the positive, but it's not always easy. I find my mind can easily get into a negative spiral. I want to try some meditation or mindfulness.
Hello kaz when I am busy at work I do manage too forget, but as you rightly say it can be difficult
