Really bad night: Hi everyone, I had the... - Anxiety Support
Really bad night
OMG thats awful. I feel sick with migraine. and I want to go to a step class Ive never been before and am nervous
Hi Treacle,
I DO hope your blood was running through your veins, and your heart was pumping, because if it wasn't, you really would have a problem.
I do know how that feels however, and when sensitised, can be absolutely horrendous.
We must understand this is an essential part of living, these actual symptoms, but what has happened is for once we can feel this occouring. Usually it goes on in the background, but because of the anxiousness we sometimes latch on to these feelings and try to fight/run away from them, making them even more intense.
The key here is;
Those feelings are essential to life, and not harmfull. They are actually making you well.
We lay down and relax as much as we can, look inside at those sensations, let them wash over us, allowing the thoughts to come but not fight with them or run from them, they are just thoughts.
We are like the blue sky, the thoughts are puffs of white cloud floating by, say hi to them, OBSERVE them, as just natural occurances, however there is no need to act on them. gently, like a feather touching our skin, go back to the blue sky, breathe, accept it all, float along and let time pass, with no beginning and no end.
This might sound a bit fluffy but its interesting to note if we do the opposite how anxiety gets more intense, so why not give it a try, we have nothing to loose as we are in hell already. It takes time and lots of practice, but we can manage these panics. I find it best to try this when we are feeling ok at first, not just try it when we are in panic and expect it to work instantly.
I do hope your in touch with your doctor and hopefully getting some assistance with CBT or some therapy.
Wishing you well

Hi b
Thankyou so much I will try never had it that bad was frightened, I work full time and also look after my elderly mum so I do find things hard at times, I was such a strong person before I have had this for about 3 to 4 years and I am getting so fed up of feeling like this I could just cry jo xxx
Hi Treacle,
We all get these blasters sometimes, and yes they are frightening.
it sounds like you could do with a pamper day, a nice bath, relax, get your best clothes on, and go out and treat yourself
I've found fear is dispersed more effectively when we have love in our hearts, again sounds fluffy, however it is the most powerful thing we have inside. You could give this a read, Tara on here found it, and add it to the above I just do it as much as I can all day, its a powerfull healer

Hi b
Thankyou so much I will give it a try, I do need to pamper my self but its getting time to,plus I can't go and treat myself as I can't go in crowed places I feel as I am falling apart at the seems . Have a good day talk soon I hope
Treacle xx
Hi Treacle,
I know about the crowded places, problem, I had that too.
Now, how about a sit in the garden if you have one, we all say to ourselves we dont have time, but investing the time for ourselves does wonders for our health,.
Get your coat on a nice cup of tea, and pop your head out the door, in the sunshine., that pampering in my book too.
wishing you well
