looking for another coping skill

Some meditation, breathing techniques, soothing music, nice walks and some stretches. It should help take your mind off of what messes with you until it passes.

Why do you have to wait till she goes into the bathroom? Have you tried a hobby? I know it sounds silly, but having interests can really help. My Husband has a touch of depression in the winter months, so when we are stuck inside he builds models. Of buildings, planes, Mechs from Gundum. He also paints D&D characters. It gives him something to focus on. It might help.
