I have never heard of Agoraphobia until I read your post. My primary physician diagnosed me as having PTSD mainly because my nightmares are almost always about the shootings and deaths I witnessed. I prefer not to discuss that any further other than to say it was awful. My psychiatrist is treating me for depression and anxiety. I take Alprazolam, Vilazodone, Losartan, Bupropion, Prazosin, and Quintapine. I can totally understand what you have said. Before I walk to the mailbox, I look over the area from the front porch. I don’t want to be confronted by any of my neighbors. I have an adult aged son living with me. If I absolutely have to go to a public place my son will go with me. I know he can keep me from being in a crowd or other public place. Thank you for sharing your experiences related to Agoraphobia. I’m sorry that you are having to deal with this. I know how you feel in social situations. I thought my situation was unique to my life. I could not believe that someone else is (sadly) is experiencing the same symptoms. Hang in there and get well.
