Anti Anxiety Meds

I have been going to therapy for almost a year and have not been able to go deeper? I have been dealing with anxiety since 2018...intense chest heaviness, constant doubt, worry, nervousness, shakiness in my stomach. I feel disconnected from my body and I don't have a whole lot of direction right now at 29....and feel like I need to really start to make some big changes and grow. I no longer have panic attacks but it is still overly intense. I just want to start to look forward, be more productive and STOP LIVING IN SO MUCH FEAR OF FAILURE. I finally saw a psychiatrist and what is recommended is SSRI's like lexapro, zoloft...

If anyone else is/has experienced this let me know what they took to help them!

Much appreciated

Hi Hiip30, Your anti anxiety medications can open the door to your adjustment through

all these physical fears. As for fear of failure, that is a mindset issue as to how this all

started in 2018. When we are at a venerable time of our lives, anxiety can sneak in and

before we know it, physical symptoms appear along with the negative thoughts.

Medication of sorts can put a halt or at least lower the symptoms. However, the key

is to address the fears. Get down to the root of the problem as they say.

I started with Benzos, from there to an SSRI, Lexapro. That isn't the complete answer

but it allows the Mind/Body Connection to react more positively which allows us to

work on our issues.

Developing a tool box of methods to suppress your fears and anxieties. There may not

be a magic pill out there but know that you are the magic. You have the power within

to work on yourself. Believe in that and eventually you Can and you Will see improvement.

With improvement, you will feel a sense of accomplishment, self esteem and confidence.

It's going to be okay. You are here for a reason and when that reason is found, you can

be anything you want without a shadow of a doubt. :) xx
