Panic and anxiety at night

Today I’m having an episode of panic attack mix with intense anxiety; it happened out of nowhere like they always do. Having trouble breathing, feel my chest heavy and having this weird fear that can’t cope. I have done my breathing exercises and now I’m here talking about it. I have a cat and I’m pretty sure she can sense that I’m not feeling well; she is here on my side and makes me feel calmer. My daughter is sleeping and my husband to. Hate to feel like this alone in some way, but I’m glad I can express myself here. Hope to sleep soon... I’m feeling much calmer even do my mouth is dry. Here is 12:00 am and I’m thinking of watching The Big Bang Theory.

PS: Hi everyone and hope your having a great day or night.

We a right pair ain’t we ? I’m laying in bed also trying to take my mind off it but it’s so hard..at the minute everything is a constant battle I wake up all hot and sweaty and panic stricken and can’t seem to shift it so I know how you feel I just want to have a normal way of thinking about my health instead of worst case scenario

Yes so true.... I don’t know about you, but I miss been normal in the meaning of not having all this fear and been anxious all the time. Hate this so much and it’s a bully that just keeps coming when you are more calmer. Even do I’m glad that I’m talking to you and expressing myself, really appreciate your presence here.

Your welcome sweetie I’m appreciating you too as we are both in a state of panic it’s good to know we not alone in this at all but I’m like you I miss being normal whatever normal is I think normal is overrated lol . Having the fear and being anxious all the time is very horrible it’s like come on cut us some slack here “

I’ve had another awful night of broken sleep, dreams and periods of just lying there. I’ve barely been able to eat properly since almost two weeks now. Will this ever end? My body feels like it’s burning. I don’t want to be like this.

Sorry to hear you are suffering too. Tonight I think I will try some sort of calming app or video. Does anyone recommend anything?

Usually what I do is read & write my feeling...breathing exercises. By day I make sure to exercise... but don’t worry you are not alone. I come a lot here to read and talk and makes me feel calmer, and safer for sone reason... I think I just feel comfortable. Go to my profile and try a meditating science song that makes you feel relaxed to see if it works for you... works for me and makes my heart beat slower so basically makes my anxiety fade.

thanks you I will try that tonight. I am just terrified something is wrong with me. How can anxiety have this much effect for all of this time? I haven’t even had any good times in the past two weeks a where i’ve felt normal.

I just want to be me again.

I know the feeling... by reading I realize that we must cope with it first and then deal with the bully that is anxiety. There a lot of factors that can cause it, but scientist still can figure out and exact purpose of what cause it. Believe me, read a lot and most comment are extremely helpful. You will find the exact way to make yourself feel safe and calmer; nothing is wrong with you. Remember you have the power, don’t let your brain overcome.
