Morning Anxiety

Most mornings I experience anxiety upon waking up. Quite often I experience anxiety in my dreams.

however, this clears within about an hour as I take 1mg Lorazepam first thing. I feel okay, anxiety-wise, for the rest of the day.

Would switching my Lorazepam to bed time prevent my anxiety problem? (I already take Pregabalin 350mg and Quetiapine 400mg at night)?

Could the rise in cortisol in your body during the early hours of the morning be impacting your anxiety levels. I think it does mine. I believe it starts rising at 4 or 5 am in our bodies and peaks around 8 or 9 am. (Someone else on here, probably knows more info than I do.)

I don't know how long Lorazepam stays in the body at peak effect, but I am thinking it is shorter lasting, if it is, you are probably taking it at the best time.

Also, do you limit caffeine in the morning?

Maybe worth having this conversation with your GP.
