Has anyone else struggled with "depression face"? Some days I feel a heaviness in my face, especially in my eyes, to the point that no matter how much I try to keep a light, neutral face, it's a struggle. I think about it especially when I'm at work, I do some work with customers face to face and I get self conscious about it and with my coworkers too. We have to occasionally be on camera as well and I feel a little embarrassed about how I look on camera. As a woman also, I feel the pressure to present a pleasant, happy look.
Has anyone else experienced this and tried anything that helped?

Hello electric bird, you are not alone with putting on a forced smile. Whenever I am depressed people can see it and they seem to be very distant or at least I think so. It’s not a good feeling to have because it makes me feel more alone and introverted. And most of the time I just hide away. I think that you are a good sport for being able to smile and put on a happy face.
I have to make clients forget their worries, problems and troubles and talk on nice things although sometimes you can't. They expect happy, extrovert or social character and have to try really hard being introvert. Just required. Tiring.
