Extreme anxiety and panic attacks

Hi, I'm 56 year old woman and I over think everything! My chest is always pounding like I've been frightened by the most horrible monster. I break down every morning and cry like someone died. I can't make any decisions. I feel so alone. I feel mentally paralyzed. I'm hoping to not feel like I'm the only one going through this. I want to learn how to get through this. Much love to everyone, .P

HelloKittyLover... Welcome to a caring, safe support community where you will see

that you are not alone. Situations arrive in our lives that can affect the way we feel

both emotionally and physically. There's something to say about the change of seasons

both in Spring and Fall as well. Don't know what the theory is behind that.

Mornings can often be the worst part of the day. Crying is a good emotional release

of the hormones causing this feeling.

Starting on medication and therapy to address these issues can help put you back on

the straight and narrow path in reaching your goal. This doesn't have to be a forever

thing. Think positively as you take this journey with us, in getting well. :) xx

Hello. I totally understand how you feel. I, too, went through a time like that. It took me years of therapy to get to a better place. I noticed you are a 56 year old woman. Are you, or have you gone through menopause? My world changed after menopause. I became extremely anxious and couldn't sleep. Low dose hormone therapy helped. Medication helped when I was at my worst. Therapy helped the most. Therapy gave me my "toolbox", which includes mindful meditation, yoga nidra, exercise, music therapy, playing the piano, petting my dog and connecting with family. I want to encourage you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. You just need to take baby steps toward the recovery process.

I totally get so much of this so you are very much not alone. Have you ever tried tapping meditations? They help me. I just do the free ones at this site or on their app: thetappingsolution.com/
