Just checking.

So, if I stumble and pause what I am saying because I hear someone else's conversation. The worst thing that will most likely happen if I overhear them is that they'll hear me stutter, pause and stop talking? They'll never be able to make out the reason behind it?

Your right, they won't know the reason behind it.

Will the person im talking to care, that I stuttered or paused my sentences?

No they won't care. I sometimes stutter a lot and I've apologised for stuttering afterwards and they didn't even notice.

Is it because they're so much more focused on the words and the content behind the words?

More because they're concentrating on what they are going to say next.

So, they're not focused on the words?

They are. Think of when you speak to someone where English is their second language and they are thinking of the next word. Your not concentrating on when they say "err" before the word that they say. I hope that makes sense.

They won't have the foggiest idea and probably won't even consider it. They are busy, remember, chatting with their friend. Stop worrying - if that's possible.😊

So, they won't know what I'm stuttering over? Is that what you mean?

Not only will they not know what you're stuttering over, they won't even notice that you are stuttering! They're too busy.

What, other people?

The people you are listening to when you should only be interested in who you are talking with. Other people in the room. No more questions, please!

Nope. They won't know the reason behind it. Try not to worry. Have a good one.

If they are listening, and I doubt it; Then they would probably think that you just lost your train of thought, and disregard it. People are always more concerned with what they do themselves.
