It’s been a while since I’ve posted. A couple months ago I had plunged into a depression especially about turning 60. Well, I decided to do something about it. I went to my doctor and she added Zoloft to my existing Wellbutrin XL. And, I am happy to report it’s working!
Life still has all of its curveballs being thrown at me, but the right meds tremendously helps.
I wish everyone well and you’re on my mind.
Best,
Mr. Z
And P.S. 60 isn’t that bad at all. It’s just a number. Or as Bette Davis would say, “Growing old is for sissies.”

Kudos to you! :>) I'm 3 years away from there. I know people that do have a hard time with the aging process--who wouldn't? It can be a bit intimidating. The thing that's helped me is that there is so much more to be done, just around the house/yard/finances/pets/siblings, so I wind up forgetting the number thing--as long as my joints keep me moving in some sort of way, I think I can get there. :>) So glad that you got your meds to really work for you--I have a lot of friends struggling with that, right now...let's hope we all get answers that stay with us, in positive ways. Keep on trucking! :>)
Wonderful reply! You hit the nail on the head, “as long as my joints keep me moving...”. Boy can I relate there. I have my aches and pains at times. But I do my best to keep moving forward.
and the great one also said..."Fasten your seatbelts; it's going to be a bumpy night."...which pretty much describes the emotional roller coaster of depression.
Happy 60....the new 50's.... and enjoy it, have fun....
And thank you for posting your meds are working and helping...no one ever says that hardly....only the stories of meds not working and it discourages many from trying them.
Hi Mr.Zee. yep 60s not bad at all! I'm a couple of years past that and it's certainly better than the alternative.,😀👍glad the Meds are working. I couldn't be without mine. 😊🌻✌️
