hi all. I’ve been on 100mg Sertraline for 4 weeks and have the worst dizziness and head fog feelings. Is this normal? Will it ease? It’s very debilitating x

I’m not on that one but the one I’m on also makes me dizzy, especially if I go too long without eating. I’d definitely check in with your doctor though. If the side effects don’t pass, they can help you find something that works better for you.

I was on Sertraline for about half a year. I feel like the first couple weeks should be the worst. 4 weeks feels too long, maybe ask you doctor about it and they can switch you to something else. I came off of Sertraline and honestly it was pretty rough for me. But if your meds are giving you distressing side effects it's important to assume there is something better they can do for you.

I must say the first 6 to 8 weeks can be ugly I suffered from the worst stomach cramps diarrhoea and nausea but once that passed I felt great just give it a little longer you will be good 😁😁

Hiya, Yes i totally see and understand were your coming from as i also had exactly the same experience with sertraline so after going back to see my GP she prescribed me with betablockers to level me out and it worked for a while but sadly they just stopped working on me all the way up to 200mg just out grew them but luckily i was prescribed Citalopram which has been great for myself with no more silly betablockers so I strongly advise that you go and see your GP, all the best 👍

Often times with new medications you can sometimes experience side effects. Some doctors have told me that on SOME occasions those side effects can pass eventually, but not always of course. But I never had that much patience or will to wait for the symptoms making me miserable to pass. I frequently have side effects from almost every med I have been on, but now my Olanzipine seems to be fine so far, and it is actually helping so far.
