i wake up every morning shaking and cold with anxiety. I take klonopin but even that doesn’t help some days. Anyone else experience this and found a way to stop it?

I started having similar symptoms a few years ago. I take lorazepam 3 times a day. I was waking up in cold sweat and fear. I started keeping a lorazepam by my bedside to take as soon as I woke up. Stayed in bed and prayed to keep my mind occupied, meditation works too. I also take blood pressure meds first thing in morning. Anxiety pushes it up which caused more anxiety. The lorazepam helps even if I fall back to sleep I wake up feeling better. This is what works for me. I hope your doctor can help with this, maybe a different medication or dosage.

hi! I also struggle at times with morning anxiety. Deep breathing helps a lot and positive self talk. Reminding myself that this feeling will pass. Sometimes I just have to ride it out. I know how uncomfortable it is and I am so sorry!
