moving tomorrow-can’t do this

I am so anxious about moving tomirrow. I feel sick. I know I should get up and do something but I just want to lay in bed. I also have been very stuffy and my head hurts between my eyebrows. Idk if I’m sick but now I’m scared that I am and I will get my boyfriend sick.

Hi Daisy,

You said the same thing about Bermuda and you still went! And then you said the same thing about leaving Bermuda and you got back!

You'll be fine. Remember to breathe. Wishing you good luck! It will be exciting!

If you want to lighten the mood and have some fun with your boyfriend, buy a big fluffy hot pink chair. And then don't forget a diffuser with a really girly scent (see my comment on your previous post for context).

Moving can be very difficult. I've moved the last two summers and neither was easy. Lots of emotions play into this.

Could your symptoms be from packing? Stirring up dust?

I hope you feel better soon and I hope the move goes well.

It's extremely stressful isn't it moving even when circumstances are good!

You moved the same time as I did last year if I remember rightly!

Yes we moved at the same time! How is it going for you?

My move last summer had a second phase to it. Second phase completed this summer, all is good and now I can rest :)

I do feel looking back that getting evicted last year was the best thing that could have happened to me nowadays as getting out of that neighbourhood was long overdue which I desperately needed!

Here there isn't much noise like there was at the other place!

At the other place the noise there was ridiculous and one day I had had enough and it was the afternoon of May bank holiday Monday and I had wanted an afternoon of quiet and no it wasn't going to happen as there was a noisy party upstairs and it was one too many so what I did was I got the stepladder and a Broom and got up on the stepladder and banged the ceiling as I had had enough!

Just to explain I wouldn't have begrudged the party now and again as that really is mean and petty but when it's all the time it gets ridiculous and I wouldn't have banged for silly little things say like walking round the flat as that is ridiculous!

In my view it's kicking off over silly and trivial things that's mean and petty!

I have been accused of being mean many times by selfish people because I wouldn't give them their own way!

Yesterday I did something supposedly mean as I had finished my 4pm interview and had decided to sit down and relax and the phone went and it was a place wanting me to do an interview unannounced and I told them no it's not a good time which wasn't lies and said I would ring them back when it's convenient for me personally and put the phone down!

I will ring them back but only if I really really have nothing better to do!

Thank you so much for responding. I need support. I took another Covid test and it looked negative but I still have a bad headache. My temp also appears to be 99.3 but my dad says that isn’t a fever. I just feel scared right now and somewhat alone. My boyfriend knows how I’ve been feeling but I also don’t want to be sad the whole time and make it seem like I don’t want to live with him.

Perhaps it's just a regular cold as they are still around as well!

Moving is so hard. It's ok to have sadness as you make a big life change. This will hopefully resolve quickly for you as you get comfortable in your new place.

Do you take anything over the counter for your headaches? Make sure you are drinking enough fluid. Packing and lifting boxes etc can dehydrate you.
