I'm new here. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself a little. I'm a 42 year old newlywed mother of 3 adult children. I suffer from anxiety and depression among other things. I would love to learn new coping skills to learn how to handle them. Any and all suggestions are welcome. 😊

Hey everyone
Hi Danielle are you taking Levothyroxine? You have so many tags on your profile ? Autism included I dont know where to start to see where you are coming from
Lol I know, sorry about that. Yes, I take levothyroxine. I couldn't really tell you if it's helping or not to be honest.
Thank you so much. I will definitely look into those. I take Xanax for the anxiety and Prozac for the depression but even they can only do so much.
Why does GABA sound so familiar?
Hi DC.
Firstly welcome to the community.
Within this community U will find lots of varied folk who have experienced many different skills & I hope U manage to connect with them all.
This journey is a long & sometimes frustrating , confusing & funny too & that's just 1 thread.
A suggestion if I may, read through some posts that seem relevant to U & how things are for U & then reach out to those people & U should make some great connections.
Good Luck.
WELCOME
Welcome to the community! You will find many people that suffer from similar things in these forums. People are very nice here and offer helpful advice on what works for them. I suffer from major depressive disorder, PTSD and adjustment disorder. I take Prozac 20 mg. and Abilify 10 mg. as a booster. I've taken the Prozac for over a month now with absolutely no side effects whatsoever and I feel more alive than I have in a long time. I was in a depressive episode for four long excruciating years and it was the most traumatic and difficult of my lifetime. It lasted since before Covid up until just last month. I now see the glimmering lights at the end of the tunnel that I've had to dig myself out of in this hole called depression. In 2020 I did Cognitive behavioral therapy and Psychotherapy in 2023. What helps me with my symptoms is journaling so I can let my feelings out of paper so I can get things off of my chest. I also do meditation and slow breathing exercises. I practice the 5, 6, 7 method where you breathe in for 5 seconds and then hold it for 6 seconds and then breathe out for 7 seconds slowly. This automatically makes you feel relaxed and calmer. Wishing you goid luck in your journey here, peace and well-being. Take care! 🙂
