INFORMATION IS KING

Hey Everyone

This site is so freaking invaluable!

For any of us just to be able to vent, to be heard, and know somebody else out there gets what’s going on with us, is so darn comforting.

Also the information shared on the affects of medication, holistic techniques, new advancements in mental health challenges, and so on is so extremely valuable .

To be able to take this information that I learn and discuss it so much better informed with my providers is something that I wish I’d figured out a long time ago, but I’m so glad That I found this forumn and you fine folks.

My recommendation. There are so many highly intelligent and empathetic people here HU. Use them to help problem solve , but never just on your own. Always involve the professionals that you’re working with.

Dont do whst I did and not do enough work the way I shoukd have. Read books, search the Internet, and do all that you can, including talking and listening to people on here who can tell you the good , the bad , and ugly of what they’ve gone through.

When you sit down with your therapist or your psychiatrist, you have the best chance to find solutions. They need your help. Your input.

Turns out after decades of suffering that I was severely under medicated and as as I think back as I’m composing this, that maybe, just maybe if I had done a better job I might’ve found answers to that a lot sooner.

My doctors didn’t. They needed my help

Great luck to you all

Much love

Craig

I've said before that as someone suffering from GAD and PD, I can be surrounded by people, and yet feel completely alone. The people I love most and care about me the most - have no idea what it's like. It's a very isolating feeling. The support from the HU community has helped me through the darkest part of my life. Being able to connect with people that know *exactly* what I'm going through has been invaluable. Hoping you find the same sense of belonging and strength.

Hey AP

Boy have I have a family doesn’t have the empathic genes. To me, order to help with someone that has mental health challenges, you have to be able to somewhat put yourself in the heart mind and soul of that person.

After years of asking them to help, since I was so famously striking out on my own and much examination, I don’t think they do it on purpose. I just think it’s the way they were born and sometimes the way they’re environment has shaped them.

You’re right ,that’s why a site like this is so extremely valuable. We can mean and live on each other

Have a great one
