Don't be afraid you have nothing to say... Say it anyway, it helps!

Don't be afraid to post or respond! I just read a share from someone who said they didn't know what to say on this platform. Maybe they were thinking they were trying to help others and don't know what to say to help. But I'm here to share with you just stating your story your worries can be helpful to you and others. Others will respond and you will read their responses and you will feel encouraged. I have been on this site for a month and it has helped me to know I am not alone, other people relate and other people do care. Our families and friends may not understand because they do not suffer the same condition, but we do here. It is a safe place to reveal your issues and your successes! After you share sadness or worry or whatever it is that's bringing you down. Pretty soon you will be able to respond and relay any miniscule triumph or major success. That encourages everyone here! Do not be afraid to share whatever is on your mind. If you are negative and dwell and repeat yourself constantly in posts, some people will notice and they will call you out and tell you you are not helping yourself. This is where the community can really observe the pitfalls we create for ourselves, inspire and motivate you to do better for yourself.

My history goes back 45 years now. I suffer from episodic severe depression. Generalized anxiety PTSD. I am on medication. I have really really low times. And I have times where I do very well. I have come in and out of depression so many times in my history. I still somewhat have difficulty managing depression or avoiding triggers. That explains why I keep going up and down. Anyway just here to share that I know what it feels like to not know what to share or how to start the freaking sentence.. bite the bullet! just do it!

It is good for your soul.

Be well my friends.

Montana

Thank you for this. I tend just to reply to other people’s posts rather than initiate them myself. I have only ever posted twice, once a very longwinded one as I just needed to vent and let people know how low I had become and the other time was to ask advice about locking posts. My first post was ghosted and then disappeared completely even though it had said “popular” before it; no explanation from admin why they had done that…just made me even worse and worthless. So now I am reluctant to start posts after having been slapped down the first time.

Hi Primrose81, I know what you mean about the slap in the face. I had a similar but not same incident. What I did was I just posted again and my second post opened the door for me. after I read the responses I felt accepted that somebody could relate to me and I got a lot of really good suggestions on how to help myself. And others just related personal pain to me and I felt some relief in hearing those.. It has only been a short time really but I feel this particular website really helped me a lot. I am doing little tiny steps to help myself. I have a long way to go still but I feel way so much better than I did before. I hope you find the courage to just start a post what's good about this is you can edit before you actually post. You say something you don't like you can replace the sentence with something that's more accurate or sounds better. You can share what's on your mind you can share your past you can share your issues you can share anything you want to and you don't have to share what you don't want to.

it's better to get it out of your body write it out either in a journal or in a post. Take care of yourself do what you have to do to make yourself feel better as long as you're not hurting others or yourself. And if you feel like responding to me do that too. Not only does it help to share your pain it helps to help someone else too. Be well!! ✌️🌈😀

No problem primrose81. My honor to offer you encouragement. Keep moving forward everyday, even if it's small tiny steps. And primrose is a beautiful flower that I am personally fond of. Have a great day! Be well! 🌈✌️😃

Hi Montana, great post. It's better to share your responses and help 1 person than

to keep it to yourself and help no one else. Our hesitation in posting or replying comes

from the insecurities of our mental health. Step over Anxiety, this community is

hungry for answers and solutions in not feeling so alone. :) xx
