Severe depression

Feeling very insecure and fearful in the last 1 week or so.. New antidepressant started 10 days ago. Can someone relate to this... or does anyone feel that way ? especially because of the Solar Eclipse that is about to happen in a day or two

I can relate. I had to try 3 different medicines before sticking with the one I’m on. I’m also on an antianxiety medication that my Dr has me taking just for two weeks. It’s been a lifesaver but I can’t stay on it. So I will be having to deal with some anxiety when we start weaning off it.

Have you noticed any difference in how your feeling?

It's only 10 days now, after starting the new antidepressant. Both anxiety & depression have got worse. Psychiatrist says it can happen before the antidepressant begins to show +ve effects. So need to wait for 2 to 3 weeks.

I feel insecure all the time. I constanlty have to remind myself of the good things I have.

Some antidepressants can take up to 6 weeks before you feel an improvement. Be patient for a while longer.

Thanks. I'm sick and tired of waiting for antidepressants to work in the last 30 years. Only 3 antidepressant worked but gave only temporary relief. The rest was just part of the trial and error process. The one tried 2 months back, was tried for 6 weeks before stopping it.
