Morning Barbara
First of all anyone that continuously suffers that is searching for relief, in my humble opinion, is not a broken record. I commend you for your tenacity.
I looked up the amygdala part of our brain. So let’s try to break this down for a second ,.
If that’s indeed the culprit , then from what I know in my travels of this mental health world you need a medication to help that part of the brain function properly. Right?
If that is true, then obviously our goal is to not only find the proper medication , but the proper dosage.
My pain was so extreme in the mornings , it would lessen in the evening like yours, but I felt like I was sleeping in foxhole with bombs going off all night .I didn’t care if I was addicted to anything . Didn’t matter. All I needed was relief . something. Anything to help
I’m pretty busy these days so I’ve yet to crack open the Burns book that I just got. I’m assuming that you got a chance to read some of it?
Since you’ve done a ton of research on the acceptance techniques. I’m sure you’ve also tried all kinds of other holistic, therapy, etc., then this seems circle back around to proper medication , proper dosage,
My recommendation is don’t stop until you find it
For me, my depression was so bad for five years that once I found a little relief, I was scared to find enough relief to make my life acceptable. I was afraid of going backwards. I also was inundated with extreme side effects as I tried different medications, which makes it awfully daunting to keep trying to find that medication that gives you huge relief.
That said, I believe it comes down to this for us sufferers.
What are we willing to accept to get to what we really want
Make sense?
Much love
Craig
