I'm 61 and have been having anxiety for about 10 years since my mother passed away. I've been to doctors, psychiatrists, therapists, support groups. I'm on meds and I still have anxiety. I recently learned about mindfulness and how to breathe properly into the belly instead of shallow breathing into my chest. When I focus on the breathing it helps. It feels strange because it's new to me but it does calm me down. I've also been to the ER at least 4 times for what I thought was a heart attack but it was anxiety/panic attack. They feel the same! Scary! I hope you can find a solution and just know that we are here for you and we understand.

I have suffered with anxiety and depression since childhood. I am a senior citizen now and it's even worse. Plus a partner who can be mean one minute and sweet the next. Plus losing friends to death, moving, etc. Partner has several health conditions which impact me. I have a severe doctor phobia. It's all adding up to being nearly impossible to deal with.
