Am struggling with sky high depression and unbearable anxiety.

I've been struggling with depression and anxiety most of my life. I was born into a world where I was not welcomed. I have no knowledge of who my ancestors are. I'm like a tree without roots, blown around by the slightest breeze. I'm 72 so now I'm facing existential fears as well. It's getting almost unbearable. I have no family or friends left.

I am so sorry for what you are going through. It can be difficult to keep anxiety in control when you don’t have someone to talk to. There are many caring people here to talk to and help you with your journey.

Well big dawg, you definitely have family here.

Read your bio and no matter where are you are at now you’ve done some impressive things.

Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to try to figure out some issues that are going on with you. They sound very severe, and if you can give us background of what you tried and other such pertinent information. Maybe somebody here can say something that ignites a path to some relief and thus hope

6 years ago my s/o of 25 years died as I was doing cpr on her. Every medics worst fear. Later I discovered that she was living a double life. I'm struggling with isolation and c-ptsd and my meds are not covering my symptoms. It is so confusing not knowing what is real.

I very luck that when I bade my trip to the hospital everything med was changed. Especially dosage. Turns out I was severely under medicated

Dear X-Files, I am sorry for the loss of your significant other. Know that you have found

a place to come to where the "light is always on". The community is always ready to reach

out and support you because we understand.

I was very touched by your post regarding the "tree without roots" which reminded me

of a former post on this forum. We are stronger than we think we are. Have you ever seen

a weed pop up between the cracks of the sidewalk?? Where did it come from, how does it

survive? Through hope and strength from deep within, it looks for new beginnings.

This is you my new friend. I read your Bio...many similarities.

A former Paramedic, A CPR instructor, a Volunteer in hospitals etc.

I now pull that strength of knowledge, experience and understanding of the human body

to help myself.

I give in different ways now but the caring is always deep seated.

You X-Files, are at the crossroads of your life. Not the end but the beginning of yet

another journey. Don't sell yourself short, you still have much to give. What can make

us whole again is finding a passion we believe in knowing there are many others who

feel the same.

I think it was meant to be that you were guided to this community of friends.

You are not alone. You have found people who care about each other and isn't that the

best thing we can have in life?? Welcome xx
