Lately at work, I have been feeling a lot anxiety talking with co-workers. After I talk to some co-workers, I get sick to my stomach thinking about and question our interaction. Nothing inappropriate was said or done, but I just get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. It makes me regret trying to talk to them. I feel like I should just keep quiet, which is probably the best option.

That's understandable. Maybe because you don't know how you can fully trust them and then you remember they're just people at work, and they don't have to care. (That would probably make me feel sick as well.)

Hey Fall1224,

A very wise person in job recruitment told me - your co-workers are not your friends! Sharing such personal aspects of your life can be detrimental to your work environment. There is gossip, envy, jealousy & just plain meaness. Do put up healthy boundaries when sharing with co-workers. I wish I had this advice sooner, as I developed PTSD over several years & took a while to overcome. Here & ready if you want to talk.
