A few reminders as we progress into the "new year new us" time....

1) It is 10000% ok to say I am not Ok...

2) It is not selfish to put yourself and your well being in general on your things to do and take care of list

3) it is not selfish to put yourself and your well being in general at the top of your things to do list.

4) It is ok to say....I can't do this on my own.....I need help(although the chosen path is yours alone to conquer.....don't be afraid to let people help you walk the path once you have chosen it.)

5) you are enough....you matter...you are important......

6) we will never see ourselves as others see us....just be authentic and the right people will love and support you.....and most importantly...:

7) whether you think so or not......the world is a better place because you are a part of it......

love peace and happiness....

But you are not blind....you are not injured.....you are admitting that what you are fighting is stronger than you alone can deal with.....My biggest downfall to asking for/getting the help I need is ego.....plain and simple...I have a very hard time swallowing my pride and telling someone that I can't do it alone...it goes against everything I've known or been taught as a public safety professsional

good managers always negotiate people to do most of the jobs and step in only when necessary. See who would work best in any situation and delegate tasks to them according to skills

only person you have to prove anything to my friend is you. just be true to your values and be genuine...I learned lesson 1 the hard way.....being in public safety/service. asking for help is a definite sign of weakness....it almost killed me.....you don't have anything to prove to anybody
