Depression and anxiety attacks
Are you seeking advice from your doctor or therapist for this?
It really looks like you need to get some help and start the healing process
Welcome. You have come to the right place to get support. I find it so helpful being here sharing with others who truly understand.
Hi Irishmexi35 and Welcome to our caring community.
Having been Agoraphobic myself, I understand how overwhelming anxiety/fear
can cause us to not go out as well as interfere with family and friends.
As we find that people do not understand our behaviors, we get to feel more
alone and secluded.
It is very important to stop this behavior in the bud. Seeing a therapist who can
guide you down a different path can help. Medication is also a part of the fix.
Both of these will allow you to work on your fears/depression and get back
on track. I wish you well. And yes, I was able to conquer my Agoraphobia xx
I'm not sure where you live, but in the U.S. we have what are called primary care physicians (PCP's), which most people refer to as their "doctor". We also have mental health specialists, psychiatrists (who are medical doctors and can prescribe medication) as well as psychologists (who are not medical doctors, but can do therapy). PCP's don't know much about prescribing medications to control depression and anxiety, and they don't know how to manage medications for those individuals who take several meds. I would try your best to get referred to a doctor who specializes in mental health. Also, IMHU I think that psychologists are the best professionals to see for therapy, and that psychiatrists are the best to see for managing medication.
Thnk you
I too been having a major problem w anxiety, biting inside my mouth making cuts, can't keep hands still, the bastards took away the med that worked wonders for me,I'm having terrible panic attacks,I hate it.and wanna die anymore, but care for my elderly mother which is stressful to do for me as I suffer w chronic pain to boot...I hope we can find relief,I'm suffering the Dr's don't seem to care...
I sometimes feel that I may loose everything. Just hanging on by a thread. This community is great and there is always someone to support you. Walking is a great tool, I walked for hours and made me feel better. Wishing you well.
