They were banned for spreading misinformation and dangerous vaccine advice as that is not tolerated on HU. Ivermectin is not a COVID treatment

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks for letting me know.

This is a horse dewormer not suitable for human consumption... definitely not a treatment for covid

'Old Scratch' by the way is an antiquated name for the devil....

Well, I hope OldScratch had 'form' - not nice to think it's one strike and you're out, no warning, kinda thing. Makes me feel guilty, as he/she was understanding of my position on the injectibles issue . Which, obviously, I wouldn't dare get into a conversation about here lol.

Please read the rest of the covid/flu post. There is a lot of good information about both the vaccines and clearing up questions about what it does and does not do for you and our society.

I do not believe the 'good information', sorry.

Understanding is one thing...we all need and want understanding in our lives from those that we respect and love.

Spreading misinformation about vaccines and unproven medical treatments for covid, or any other diseases, is dangerous for all of society. That is why Oldscratch was banned.

OldScratch had a similar response to the 'vaccine' as my husband and therefore understood our feelings - that was the part of his/her post I appreciated and would have liked the opportunity to respond to. My husband was seriously ill after his second injection, to the point that we decided, after 11 years living in Spain, we needed to be near our family in the UK in the event of a similar frightening health episode. From any cause. My husband needed an arterial blood draw to try to determine his health status - he had very high readings of haematocrit and haemoglobin levels after the jab. Fortunately, by the time of the appointment for the arterial blood draw in hospital, (It's not something that is done routinely in a doctor's surgery) he wasn't as ill and the readings were high normal and he didn't require further investigation. I realise responses like my husband's are 'anecdotal' and not taken very seriously. Nonetheless, for people affected, like ourselves and no doubt others who have died or been seriously, irreparably harmed - and they do exist - we want nothing to do with this 'treatment'. I hope this doesn't get me banned, too, but there is an alternative view 'out there' and not just from conspiracy theorists and tin hat wearers. It's regrettable discussion is not permitted on Healthunlocked.

Discussion is always welcome. Information is important on everything. I'm sorry your husband was one of the small percentage of folks that had poor reactions to the jab. It's not 100% symptom free.

It's ok to support people's decisions. I'm glad Oldscratch was someone who supported you.

But it's not ok to spread dangerous and harmful information about taking medication for animals that is unsuitable for human consumption, in place of a largely safe vaccine that has been scientifically vetted for the vast majority of the world's population.

That was the reason he was banned.

As discussion is always welcome, you might find this article interesting. Nothing to do with covid, as far as I can see. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

It sounds an amazing medication, doesn't it? Helping not just horses but so many people in the world who have terrible diseases. You're never too old to learn, are you, LifeIsThePitts? 😉

LifeIsThePitts in reply to Firinne

Nope... that's why I'm here. To learn from other's experiences and help those that want to heal themselves. This isn't a "I'm better than you" or "she/he is better than them" competition. It's about sharing experiences and knowledge to enrich and bring meaningful changes to my life in any aspect. BUT it's also about being responsible for spreading misinformation and potentially harmful information about any topic.

I know covid is a trigger topic for many. But my only issue with the other users reply was the perpetuation of a treatment that is not safe for humans in this specific capacity. I'm very glad to know that there are human ailments that warrant it's usage in people. Just not covid.

Thanks for helping me to better understand the scope of treatment that ivermectin in humans is for.

Ivermectin tablets are sometimes used at very specific doses to treat some parasitic worms in humans, and there are also topical formulations for head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.

Humans should never take an animal form of this medicine because it's a different formula for livestock vs human beings and that could be detrimental.

Viruses are not parasites, like worms or lice. The scope of human conditions that ivermectin is prescribed for is VERY narrow and specific. Definitely NOT suitable for treating or preventing COVID-19.

From UCSB Scienceline...

We cannot describe viruses as being truly parasitic for a few reasons . First, parasites are living organisms that live in or on another organism (the host) and take away nutrients from the host for the parasites own growth. Although there has been a lot of debate about whether viruses are living organisms, most virologists (scientists who study viruses) agree that they are non-living because they do not meet all of the criteria for life. Second, viruses are able to live outside of a host body while parasites are dependent on a living host to survive. However, parasites and viruses are similar in that they can both cause damage to other living organisms that live inside. Although they have some similarities, we are not able to call viruses parasitic.

Absolutely humans shouldn't take the animal form of this medicine. Previous replies of yours seemed to say it was solely for animals, which is why I wanted to clarify. And.....I'll try to be careful here..... Ivermectin is an extraordinary medication, with discoveries about its potential still being investigated. It's always good to be open-minded and I can see you are genuinely trying, LifeIsThePitts, so thank you for that.

You're welcome. I was absolutely uneducated about the uses for humans. I appreciate your time and I'm always open for discussion.

Sorry it took longer to respond. I sleep really early and had no energy to finish this last night
