Glitch? When you send a message,be aware the other person may not get it. Ask if they got it in a post comment if you have not rcd a reply.

I recently ran into a problem on chat. Another member had sent me a message and I was not able to access it until I messaged that person. Then those messages appeared,

Have any others had this problem? When you get a message, does it show up under alerts to let you know? This did not have an alert... I only knew there was a message by that person asking if I had received the message under a comment on a post.

I have received a message from someone else I accessed with no problem. Cannot recall if I got an alert. I think it showed a # by chat.

Maybe it is a sporadic problem only with some people?

I would appreciate feedback as to if anyone else has had this problem.

MSanon, it has been a problem for me for years re: Chat...There's always a 1 posted next to my Chat but no one is there.

Well they are but they are in Limbo..

I can pick up the message only by writing that person and then

it's gone again.

Now today I can't pick up my Alerts...keeps saying "page is gone"

Did they let you know there was a message in a comment ?

Somehow I removed the #1 that was posted next to chat today.

Not sure if that will change this problem. I think I right clicked it and was given options like to delete it.

Thankfully I see my alerts.

Have you reported this to the admins?

I did and rcd a basic "how to" which I already know.

This is important I think in this forum ! When people who are anxious and reach out to message another person and get no response at all, well that could aggravate their anxiety and depression thinking they are being ignored !

Just an observation/thought... When a person has a conversation in chat unless both people delete the convo. It will stay in 'limbo' if one of the people doesn't delete it.

I have noticed a few 'glitches' as well. Same thing as Agora1 has mentioned. The 'oops page is gone' message when trying to read and reply to alerts. Also there will be times when everything on a person's profile disappears. All the post, the ability to message them or befriend them, which I understand some may set the preference that way but it's happened without people changing this in the preference options. Many times. Hoping these issues are fixed soon. If not I'm hoping enough emails are sent to the appropriate people to correct these issues. 💜

This is happening to me with the " oops" page. I notified HU yesterday. Now I can't even open a reply.

I found a way around that... You can open the reply in a new tab. If on a phone you hold down on the reply until the option to open in new tab appears or if on a PC or laptop you right click and open in new tab... just a helpful tip... Until the 'glitch' is resolved. 💜

When you learned a member had messaged you, how did you end up seeing their messages? When it happened to me, I had to message the person in order to then see what they had written me. There was no notification letting me know there was a message. Is that what you did ? Message the person in order to then see what they had written? I am curious if how you saw the messages is the same as it was for me.
