Going off Lexapro

I am switching from Lexapro to Prozac. I feel awful! It feels like extreme anxiety and agitation. Is there anyone who can validate that this might be discontinuation syndrome. I feel like I’m going insane. Thank you

yeah i switched from lexapro to zoloft about 2 weeks ago and i feel slightly better but still like crap. antidepressants can make you feel worse before it makes you feel better so hang in there. all you have to do is wait it out about 6-8 weeks before you consider stopping or switching. it's hard i know.

How far into the change are you Icedmocha? I think anytime you change you can expect wild symptoms. I know that realizing that it was the change helped me get through my last adjustments and gave me patience to deal with the insane anxiety I felt for no apparent reason. Of course it is good to keep in touch with the doctor during these times. I wish you patience, strength, and hope.

Yeah, I took Prozac for about four months. It worked for my anxiety and depression for the first dosage. But then the second dosage it got worse. I started having trouble sleeping, concentrating, crying a lot, and more ruminating thoughts more because of the Prozac. Now, I'm taking Sertline for both my anxiety and depression. And the same symptoms appear again. I feel a little better but still like crap. Antidepressants from my experience make me feel worse than better too. I just have tried to hang in there though because of it.
