I have been on Bupropion for over a year and am stilll suffering from anxiety. Can I take Zoloft and Bupropion together or does zoloft alone work for both anxiety and depression?

ZOLOFT AND BUPROPION
please please contact your licensed psychiatrist, physician, or therapist about this. I self medicated and stopped taking lexapro a few weeks ago without advice/help and I didn't get any sleep for two days in a row. Well one night was 3 hrs and the other night was nothing and it sucked. Also medication is a guide ultimately I would really recommend starting with a simple meditation practice like shambavi mudra or nadi shuddi. If you do this disciplined everyday for 30 days you will see a huge difference. Sending you a hug and I can send you the links or you can try to find it yourself. #nevertolate
Hi! Now I've never been on Zoloft so I can't speak to your question, but here's a link to an explanation of Zoloft from right here on this same NAMI-affiliated site: nami.org/About-Mental-Illne...
Hi, Josana13….I am first and foremost going to emphasize how important it is to never take new medication, change dosage of, etc. without consulting your prescribing professional. “Self-medicating” is so dangerous. Both prescriptions are excellent, in and of itself, but their properties are entirely different. As in any drug there is. I totally understand how you feel; that “Rabbit Hole” we visit at times is a dark & lonely place. Please talk to your Doctor or Therapist or whomever you see . Allow them to help you; they care and so do we.🐺
i have been on both meds at the same time. Each med does something different in the brain but as others have said, this must be monitored by a doctor! These types of drugs must be introduced and deleted with caution. Myself I didn’t see a benefit taking them together but each person is different. My doctor just took me off Zoloft and I started prozac with the Wellbutrin. I’m seeing a slight improvement but it’s early yet. Good luck
That is absolutely a question for a psychiatrist who specializes in these meds. They can potentiate each other (make each other stronger) - but that also means side effects and potentially dangerous interactions. NEVER mix antidepressants without consulting an expert. In some cases, you can mix two different meds safely, but the exact dosage is very important for your safety and for the best results. Good luck!
