Just having a hard time on and off for a few months now. I’m in therapy and have an appt tomorrow to try and get some meds figured back out. I just want to say how much I hate anxiety and the over thinking. I hate the trembling and the irrational thoughts…. Screw Anxiety and Panic Attacks!

Sorry you are having a rough go MsKitty. Anxiety is so broad and different for everyone; it is a beast! You are doing what is best for you by going to your appointment. Hang in there.

Thank you ❤️ I’ve had upticks in my anxiety like this before and I just ignored the warning signs this time. I know I’ll be ok again soon but it sure does seem to be a nasty go around this time.

That’s great that you recognize the signs. I too have ignore anxiety and/or depression signs and then spiraled. It is so hard to pay attention to! But I feel it’s just any other skill: the more we do it, the better we get at it 😊

Hi Mskitty21 and Welcome to a caring support community.

No matter how many times we are hit or struggle with anxiety,

it always seems like the worst ever. When it's over, we give a sigh

of relief hoping it doesn't happen again but deep down knowing it

probably will.

Once we think like that, we're doomed. We go into anticipational

anxiety and the "what if" phase. We become Anxiety's prisoner but

it doesn't have to be that way.

Once we truly believe that Anxiety is just a mind game and believe

that we have the power to overcome the negative thoughts as well

as the physical symptoms, we have taken the first step in gaining

control once more.

Knowing what causes our fear /stress and addressing it, can leave anxiety

with no power and it will give up. Stay Strong, Stay Positive, You've got this :) xx

totally understand how you feel about. All I can say is you deal with the anxiety as it comes and is other of said, I hope it doesn’t come again, but we know it will hopefully, each time you get a little stronger. This is a great place to talk and share your stories are no judgments here. Everyone on here is great. Good luck with your doctors visit and take care.

Panic/anxiety can be very frustrating and cause us to get angry with ourselves when we are caught up in it. What can really help is learning what it really is and how to constructively deal with it which takes the fear out of it. Panic/anxiety is a really a paradox and the more you try to fight it and struggle with it the more it persists so the solution is to surrender to the feelings and allow them to pass and desensitize your body and don't feed the anxiety with your anxious thoughts. Panic/anxiety is just our bodies built in warning system malfunctioning and we need to learn how to reset it. I found the DARE Anxiety book and youtube videos very helpful and you might also check out the website/youtubes of Paige Pradko. Another helpful thing is to practice simple mindfulness meditation to learn to detach from your thoughts and to not believe your anxious thoughts, they aren't real and are what fuels your panic.

I think I saw one of you replies yesterday and because I actually started the DARE stuff today due to seeing it mentioned on here. Thank you for your insight and kindness…. You never know what is going to work or stick so all suggestions and encouragement mean a lot. You like the DARE approach and am confident that it will reallllyyy help me get past this time ❤️

You're welcome, glad to help. I found their phone app to be very helpful and even subscribed to the premium version for a while. It was like having my own coach.

Anxiety is horrible but as Claire weeks says really look at the symptoms and you find out they not bad see it for what it is not what our mind makes it out to be it's the sensitization which makes it appear worse that's what I'm doing anyhow the thoughts aren't ours if your sensitized it's the the thoughts of sensitization I realize this if you give thoughts attention they will keep coming as your subconscious believes there important don't get rid of them just don't get involved in them say your a bluff and u can stay as long as u want and get on with something then they will start disappearing anyhow what are thoughts just words hope this helps
