Good or bad, would you be willing to share about your experience? So far I seem to be struggling to see progress with it, and wonder where I am going wrong.

Anyone have experience with IFS work?
Hi
You are not doing anything wrong. It takes a great deal of time to understand the concept. It's only then that you can move on to the work.
It's the best thing that could have happened to me.
I wish you well, don't give up on it

Hi amoeba. I echo Dolphin to not give up!When I first started IFS it seemed very complicated even though I had read up a lot and watched many Youtubes. Applying it to myself has been difficult but gradually with the help of my therapist it is making sense!
I really like the concept and feel sure it will be worth it so encourage you to keep going too!
Good luck with it all!
Thanks for taking the time to respond, waiting game7. I've been struggling in the sessions to do what my therapist is asking and working on any sense of self-compassion, even though I respect the concept and would love for it to work for me. It helps to know though that others took a bit to be able to integrate it into their toolbox. I won't give up!
Hi again - yes I know the feeling, I struggle as well to do what my therapist is asking but I'm learning that it's ok to not know at that precise moment. Maybe the topic will come up again. I think it's also about learning how your therapist goes about things - what she asks and why. I guess this will form our own practice in time. I have listened to some videos by Derek Scott where he demonstrates this.
Interestingly I find it easier to view the parts with self compassion as they evolved to protect us and help us. Rather than my whole self if you know what I mean!
Carry on the good work!
