Dentists ! Cant believe we pay so much to be in so much discomfort, prodding & pain & how they expect you to talk with a mouthful of implements is a mystery, and lying on a couch tilted to such a degree that your half upside down made me feel i was being prepared for the electric chair,😜 and I professed I was not here for an execution,😱 but to be fair if you can cope with struggling to breath, going to a dentist is not nearly as fraught as it once was.😁.The biggest pain is what they charge as its now impossible to find a NHS dentist, and i hate admitting it but i had not been to a dentist for years, and i'm having 3 new crowns.
2 more appointments and it should be done.😲

I've been agoraphobic for a very long time, going out even to get help was always nerve wracking. That being said, I always enjoyed going to the dentist because it meant getting pain dealt with. It is kind of ridiculous how much dental work can cost but then I suppose it's a good investment when you consider how much use you get out of a job well done.
oh yes, dental versus medical! I will be having a third oral surgery and extraction of my front teeth this summer…..and they won’t knock me out! I am literally working with me husband to see how to save for the highest range quote if it goes poorly. I just dropped Netflix! Indeed your emotional and physical pain are felt by many of us! Oye!
Wholeheartedly agree the worst thing for me is the drill noises and the anesthesia 😭
Oh yes many of us can sympathise! How ironic is this secrets, I have just returned from my local dentist and need to have mouthful of repairs. My checkup has been cancelled 7 times due to lack of dentists at the clinic - I turned up on time and expected the receptionist to say "I'm sorry...and every number of reasons to cancel. Last time I turned up the dentist has "gone to hospital" and they didn't even phone me beforehand. Before that it was a 2 hour wait but I couldn't stay.
My dentist is NHS so actually I'm very grateful and decided not to get uptight about the lack of service and delays. But everything is heading privatised isn't it. I need a crown too - under NHS it will be £300, they offer another treatment privately and it will be £700.
