I managed it . I had a local anaesthetic without adrenaline but he did a different filling as the one he needed to refill he is worried that he may not be able too save it and I would need a root canal.
He saw how anxious I was as I was crying and tense so he didn’t want to do a bigger job .
we discussed that it may be better for me too go too a dental hospital or community one where they help anxious, disabled patients etc .
The only thing that I was concerned about was after my filling I felt like strange , off balance just didn’t feel right plus so tired !!!
I feel better today but does anyone know if that’s a normal symptom ?
I’m booked in on the 3rd of February too have another tiny cavity filled in before it gets bigger.
thanks

Maybe I do react plus am on the small side 51kgs x
Or...possibly give you a benzo ahead of time or give you laughing gas
that can put you at ease. There are ways for them to work around
our anxiety. xx
hey natz36! Well done. I knew you’d be ok. Agora1 is correct. You are probably a bit over exhausted from the stress of the whole ordeal. It should be fine tomorrow after getting another nights rest. Next visit will be easier. 😀
Sometimes after an anxiety-inducing event your body's supply of adrenaline is pretty depleted. It's tiring maintaining a high level of tension for a prolonged time, also. In some communities it's known as "drop" and can even include depressive symptoms. It's natural. Try not to worry about it or overthink it, but be proud you've done so well with a difficult experience and "keep the receipt". When you have another difficult thing to go through, remind yourself "I can do difficult things, these are some I've done before" and recount them.
I get side effects to the numbing medication dentists use. They try to pretend there are no side effects but there are side effects. I hate the dentist.
