Self injury

I am new here. Im a middle aged adult n I'm really struggling with thoughts of self injury. Self injury was the first thing I ever discovered that helped as a child in a dysfunctional home. I was 8yrs old. I feel so alone in this battle. I've been told it's teenage behavior. For me it's an addiction. The biggest problem about it is u can never take yourself away from yourself. I'm open to absolutely any suggestions at this point. Thank you

childhood! Many of us here struggle with those years. I also suggest the ptsd forum here too.

search ptsd at top left. Then click on communities. I am on several forums…some for physical health issues too. Support everywhere on health unlocked.

then each community you join will show up in “my hub”…

You are not alone. I'm new here too and found some comfort. But if you need immediate help, please call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org. Sending you lots of good thoughts and kindness. I hope you find peace of mind soon.
