hey guys been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve been doing really well had a baby who’s now 2 moved into my new home my life is good! Christmas Day I tried and edible with my friends and I had a major panic attack because of this wanting to call for help making myself sick it was so bad and now I’ve been left with anxiety AGAIN! my own fault I know I’m sad that I even done it as my whole anxiety started because of this when I was 14. I’ve been on 20mg of citalopram for 2 years now and I’m wondering if they’ve maybe stopped working or I need to up them again? I’m scared to up them because the side affects and now I have a toddler to look after so it’s even harder having anxiety etc can anyone help? Should I up them ? Have they stopped working? Do I need to change meds thanks in advance I appreciate any help and. Suggestions

Please don’t blame yourself. I’m also on 20mg of Citalapram and am going through a bad time due to health problems. My doctor has told me to increase to 30mg while I’m like this so I would definitely speak to your doctor. Hope you feel better soon and be kind to yourself

I was on 30mg from about 5 months, then wanted to come off them due to side effects and have a 2 year old son, I’ve felt a lot better since coming off them thinking better, sleeping well and regular exercise is helping a lot, they don’t work for everyone, I tapered off them the last week or so and had funny side effects coming off them, they helped me for a while but ups and downs with them speak with your doctor, but I’d say anything over 30 is going to be bigger side effects especially sexually, talk to your doctor anyway and see what they think

Hi, I was on 20mg of the same meds for just over a year, however I started getting really bad and vivid dreams (not good as I’ve also PTSD) so wanted to come off them rather than increase my dose, I went down to 10mg and then tapered off them by alternating days till they were finished. It’s important to get advice from your GP on what’s the best plan for you, I’ve been off them now 6 days and have some emotions coming back, bit of a headache at times and a dodgy tummy atm but I’m now sleeping so much better. Just please get advice from your doctor and good luck with whatever you decide to do for you that’s best for you personally
