does anyone ever feel like/ believe they are just a small tiny meaningless fish in a huge sea of important people who are so cared about?
even as a christ follower, and filling my head and heart with His truths... Sometimes those belief systems and lies still overtake me. I am wondering what other like minded folks here do to combat those thoughts, even when god is present in your life?
Like, sometimes i feel when i die, noone will even look up so to speak
its a very depressing dark hole to be in
anyone relate? what do you do ?

Because you acknowledge your Christianity I feel I can respond as a Christian minister of almost 40 years - I shall begin by saying that 'Yes, I too have felt - and sometimes still do think I am small and meaningless, trapped in a place I'd rather not be. I've never thought of myself as a fish though.' But for you this must surely be a positive image, as the fish was the first Christian symbol! Like you I go to Christ's truths and fill my being with His presence. When Christ walked on, and lived on earth His mission was to save and to heal, to bring the unloved and the sinners to salvation - let's be honest, we are all sinners, only He was completely sinless. Jesus told us, as Christians we would not be immune to suffering, He told us we would be persecuted for our faith, and maybe even put to death for our beliefs. His words hold true, even today, and 'Thank God the Father, they do.'
Jesus said we would be persecuted, this is what is happening to you now! Satan the evil one, is getting to you through auto-suggestion, that being, 'You are a tiny meaningless and even insignificant fish in a huge sea of important people.' Simply put this is 'spiritual attack.' With your belief in Christ you CAN get through this!
Every person that has had life, came to life in the same way, conceived of a woman's seed and a man's sperm, carried to term in a woman's womb - mostly we are born in the same way, either naturally or via caesarian section. Doesn't matter whether a person is rich, poor, titled, untitled. We come into the world, and leave it in the same way. We, each and every one of us is important to GOD.
Although I once did, I do not now allow outside influences get to me. I KNOW that by Jesus death on the Rood (Cross) He died ONCE for all of us, past, present, and future. Satan was defeated - but Satan's problem is he cannot accept his defeat, so he keeps on trying to infiltrate Christians. He has no chance of winning. But he does use every opportunity he can get to niggle, abuse, and scare Christ's followers.
As Christians we need to be sure in our faith, and we need to know how we can 'Stand in the Victory of Christ, through His work on the Cross.
Whenever you are feeling unsure, insecure, helpless even, physically say the words, "Get ye behind me Satan." Pray, asking for God's grace to cover you and wash you in Christ's blood."
You will be protected from spiritual harm. Fear not about the time you are called back to your spiritual home. You will be exalted and you will be greeted by Christ Himself, possibly with the words, 'Welcome home, my cherished one.' Remember also, Christ came to serve, not to be served. If you feel you would like to know specific readings from the Bible to deal with your fears, please let me know, I can give you some pointers.
As a testimony, whilst I have been writing this I have come under spiritual attack several times - Satan always attacks my heart condition which is A F - I have used the above recommendation (paragraph 6) - and have come through unaffected, thanks be to God. xx
My pleasure, I feel a great sadness that not everyone has faith or believes in God through the love of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit, but as I feel so strongly on this subject, I feel also an obedience to make His mission and power known. I have just seen another post from you which I will respond to after thought and prayer. Be strong! x
