Hi ashley, After being weaned off safely from benzos, I was placed on Lexapro

and found it to be an amazing drug for myself. No tiredness, no hangover feeling,

not energy sapping, clear minded etc. I was placed on it and told to take it with

lunch so that it works better. Never had a problem. I wish you well with your

decision. :) xx

Only you can decide to give it a try. If and when you do, keep an open

mind. Don't read any pamphlets with the drug. We each react differently

to medications. It would be a shame to miss an opportunity to feel better

because of the fear in trying something new.

Wishing you my best :) xx

my mom had great success with it for 25+ years recently they decided it was the cause of her having long QT and she’s realizing how much it helped her now that she can’t be on it.

I hope I don't sound dumb, but what's long QT?

Hi Ashley, I've taken it for eight years or so after trying Zoloft which had side effects for me. Every person is different. I have had a good experience with Lexapro with little to no side effects. I did try Cymbalta for a few months and had terrible side effects with that. I think as long as you start on a low dose and see how you feel physically and mentally, hopefully it will work for you. Please let me know if after starting it, you ever have any specific questions.

I was on it years ago, had to come off it due to getting pregnant. It was the only 1 that didn't pile the weight on. I felt good on it. Pro made me put on 6 stone, came off it, lost the weight now on cym 6 years doing a slow taper coz it is the hardest med I have ever had to come off and also put on nearly 6 stone with this.As somebody said above don't read the pamphlet, if we read every pamphlet we would never try any med. Good luck on your journey.

Hi Ashley,I've been on this for years and find it a very good drug with no side effects. This is just my experience, though; we are so individual in what we can handle.

Hi AB01.

Having read what others have written about the Lexapro , it could be the one that helps U & no side effects to anyone.

Also Long QT is something to do with the electric pulses in the heart.

I was recently put on Lexapro with no side effects. As mentioned above, no hang-over effect, no tiredness, etc.
