Lexapro

I couldn't handle 10mg at all so I told my counselor she emailed the Dr he told me to take half of that to see how I do on a lower dose. I'm just tired of going through this madness I just want to be happy and healthy again.

Darknlovely, I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we do all respond differently

to medications. With SSRIs it can be a trial and error process. But also know that

just a tweak in the medication that you are on can make a big difference as well as

the time of day it is taken. I wish you well with your doctor's suggestion xx

I'm right there with you. How has it gone with the 5mg Lexapro, or did they change it altogether?

I started 10mg Lexapro today and feel worse than ever. Greatly increased anxiety, major headache/head feels like it's in a vice, vision issues, bright lights clausterphobia, not able to focus on TV or anything moving, etc. No way would I drive while on this. I wanted to go for a a walk and do some baking and didn't even feel I could do that! I have a feeling the dr will say stick with it and in a couple weeks, you'll see some improvement . I CANNOT handle this a couple of weeks. Not even another day!

For me, all of this started a couple months ago after Sinus Surgery, which caused nearly 2 months of extreme sleep deprivation. It's been misery ever since. Just got meds to help me sleep last week and thought I was on may way to doing at least somewhat better, then BAM! Lexapro happened (tried Zoloft a few weeks ago and it was bad too). Feel like I'm back at Square One.

Hello I haven't started the 5mg yet because of how I felt on 10my. I took Zoloft once and nearly lost it. I hate how meds make me feel. Neither calmed me they both heightened my fears etc I was in panic mode. My life is ruined no meds help me, none all have side effects I don't like. I've tried other as well. I barely sleep and I'm anxious all the time. I'm so weary

Hi Darknlovely1972. I have been on 5mg of Lexapro for about 12 days now. I was suppose to up my dose to 10mg about 5 days ago because I have not been able to sleep for weeks now. since being on Lexapro. I don't know if it is the lexapro or anxiety from covid. Anyway, I saw your post and and saw that it was from 4 months ago. I was wondering if you are still on Lexapro. If so how much are you taking and how long did it take to work? Any info would be useful. I hope you are now doing better. 🙂
