I am feeling too much fear than I feel I can bear. I almost live in the middle of nowhere in Southern Illinois and trying to get treated for the trauma I had happen last year, has been a big fat challenge. My whole body feels like its vibrating. It sucks I can't take an anti-anxiety med because I can't tolerate them. Some relief would be nice. Any encouragement is appreciated in advance . I feel seriously alone here, although I don't live alone.

Dear SweetTea61, although an antianxiety medication could work quickly in calming

your over sensitized nervous system, it is short lived. Finding a way to calm both your

mind and your body can be longer lasting as well as give you deep effects of peace & calm.

Finding a meditation on YouTube can be beneficial in the long run.

Videos that pertain to Visualization, Self-Hypnosis, Mindfulness, Affirmations and

Relaxation can give you a sense of inner peace.

Finding a "me time" each time is essential to your mental health.

A quiet spot to call your own, a comfortable chair, a blanket over your lap, sipping

on a hot drink can put your focus on relaxation.

As for the trauma that happened last year, that may need to be addressed by

a therapist. My best to you in finding tranquility. :) xx

I’m sorry for your pain and suffering. I can relate.

Get some fresh air and sunshine. Find an exercise you enjoy. Talk to someone you trust. Get and give hugs. Find a pet to love on. Do things you enjoy. Do deep slow breathing, Google how to do it. Swim in a warm therapy pool. Help others. Pray to Heavenly Father for help. He wants to hear from you and will listen!

You might try CBD since you can't take meds, I found it helpful for anxiety and also for helping my sleep. Also, doing relaxation as Agora recommends. I've found listening and doing progressive muscle relaxation helps both mentally and physically.

I got a CBD vape and am using it. I so have drops too. I am feeling relief.

The suggestions above are all good. The only things I would add would be to focus on meditation and mindfulness and to get a copy of the book Feeling Great by David Burns. It will teach you specific behavioral therapy techniques to help yourself deal with the kinds of problems you are experiencing.

Your not alone, you have us lol. Fear cones from our thoughts trust me I know. You must fill your thoughts with happy thoughts in order to get rid of the negative one's

Not sure exactly what to say to be helpful, but I thought I’d tell you I’m very anxious about a lot of stuff right now too. Take a break from paying attention to the news, that’s what helps me. If there’s nothing you can do about it, sometimes it’s best you don’t know what’s going on in politics or what’s on the local news. It will all add on more stress.

I am taking a break from news and I've found it very helpful. I am trying to expose myself to many positive, effective ideas and actions.

I too live alone and am ab70 year old female. It is very difficult living, eating and doing everything else alone. My son who passed is the only one of my three children who “got me”. He is no longer with me. His remaining brother and sister (especially). Any tips will be appreciated.

If I actually lived alone and I have once and I had to get a cat, mostly because I couldn't have a dog at the time. I had to have another breathing thing in my home with me. It was a great improvement and I would get out and socialize as much as I could tolerate

For me walking helped me to get through the day. Also, sleeping because I stopped thinking for at least a few hours. I have been trying to think positive for the past month to replace those negative sad feelings. It seems like it does have some kind of effect. Its hard because you always want to think negative. So its a battle.

The struggle is real for us

I suffer from unsubstantiated fears. They can be life-altering and handicap me in so many ways. My family has been challenging me lately by asking me a simple question: “What are you going to do when none of these fears (or things that you are worried about) never actually come true?” Food for thought. ❤️
