I know exactly how you feel. You are not alone. I have been struggling to get my life back for 20 years. For 16 of the I was on a cocktail with lexapro until one day, lexapro just pooped out. For the last year and a half My Dr's couldn't stabalise me. I wound up hospitalized and doing ect. I also tried tms and ketamine and about every drug there is.

I suggest you find a good behavioral therapist who can do dbt.

But I'm still struggling mightily myself, been suicidal, but also trying to find me again. I have a 12 year old son I can't abandon.

I'm going to try a residential treatment center to put myself back together. I really hope it works.

Get outside yourself by getting busy finding things you enjoy. Also try to get out and volunteer, go to church anything so you can meet people and feel useful. I had to regain my life after a year long severe depression and bout with suicide attempts . I have finally got busy working one day a week, volunteering at the food pantry, volunteering at the animal shelter and I have gone back to church and take easy exercise classes. I have dialysis three days a week for four hours. Getting busy is really the best thing you can do for yourself no matter how hard.
