Can body temp changing too quick cause a panic attacks? I was eating rlly hot potatoes, and got hot too quick then started to have one. I'm alright now, I rushed to my bed and dod deep breathing exercises with my eyes closed . I just wish they'd stop. I want to be normal and eat like I used to again 😪

Being hot like that can be a trigger for me too. You did the right thing. You recognized the feelings. Remember anxiety can not hurt you. This will pass. Focus on your breath and this moment. All is ok.

Doesn’t surprise me that it happened from hot food, knowing how random panic triggers can be. For me panic attacks often start with a hot feeling that rushes from my chest to my head.

Yeeeah unfortunately a panic attack or atleast for my own self can be triggered by just about anything for no reason. But it's good you recognized it and went to your room, did the breathing exercises. They do help . Hopefully one day will come where us people don't get panic attacks ever again . Lol..that would be nice.

Hi AB01.

Me again. Just a reminder to help U with dealing with these issues , U may need to change ur outlook & adjust it slightly too & then rework things to ur benefit & keep adjusting until U've perfected it for ur needs , I do it all the time & as a diabetic I crave all the wrong foods but I do sometimes allow myself to have that chocolate & then I get told off by my diabetic nurse but I think for my enjoyment which I think food is to be enjoyed & not just seen as fuel to convert to energy blah blah.

Do what U feel is best for U & not what others feel is normal. We are all on our journey in our lives to help ourselves to thin , feel & live without fear or pain & so we need to use all the things we learn that help us & put those in place . I wish U joy in finding the solution

Oh dear, not fun! Yup, and change in your physiological state could trigger anxiety. You body notices you’re heating up, and mistakenly thinks you are in danger, triggering an anxiety response. Then, you react to that anxiety response by feeling panicked and boom! Stuck in an anxiety loop!

I’ve discovered the best way to cope with this is to change your relationship with your anxiety, so that when it is triggered, you respond to it differently and don’t get drawn into an anxiety loop. Then the anxiety response rises up and dissipates in moments as your body realizes it’s just a hot potato, and you’re not really in danger.

Hope this helps xxx

Yes they are common symptoms of panic/anxiety and your anxious thinking blows them totally ot of proportion and you hyper-focus on them which just adds to the anxiety. The panic floods your body with adrenalin and the best thin you can do is try to calm down some and let it flow through you and dissipate.

I found the DARE book and youtube videos very helpful for learning what panic/anxiety really is and how to constructively deal with it. you may even find medication helpful at least temporarily.
