An update of what has been going on. I am in a casual relationship because I thought my anxiety was getting worse since I was alone most of the time.
I have been sick for the past week and I have never felt more alone. I am 29 years old and I had no one to call. I don't want to call my mum and scare her, yet she's far away. The worrying can make her sick.
I applied for my passport and am working on other opportunities because I feel that I should move to another country in a year or so if all goes well and start afresh.
In the meantime, I am here by myself.

I am often alone as well. I have no aversion to talking about anything that might appeal to you. Heck, I had a conversation about glasses and halloween costumes not more than 30 minutes ago. Thank you for that btw Hidden
Agreed. For people suffering with loneliness and no interest in social media due to the toxic nature of many of them, this site has been a gift in recovering from the darkness.
I got rid of facebook some time in july. Ten plus years and 600+ friends and i never used it to socialize.
It is similar to here in that everyone is sharing their problems except the responses here are civil(typically) and given for the betterment of the individual. Facebook was more about tearing people down from the experiences i viewed.
Its awful, i think people become depressed because of it. I havent had fb for years. And who cares when someone had a coffee or what they had for dinner..
Some people care about that stuff, but facebook is a poor medium for it. If you post a picture of a well done steak, you will get ridiculed or teased relentlessly until someone else makes a faux pas. I certainly prefer the safety and judgment free zone here.
Everyone is friendly because they know the struggles of cruelty and sadness first hand. We all want better for ourselves and for each other and we are building each other up so that when we take over the world, we will have honest and genuine supporters backing us.
