A mild breakthrough and something to look forward to.

I have recently started a book club with a friend. We read a book or parts of, and meet up on a specific day each week to discuss it.

My friend suggested it as a way to check in with me and keep me from isolating too much. The practice of reading is a solo show but I will be glad of the company to dissect what we are reading. First meeting will be on Saturday evening and the book we are reading is Christine by Stephen King. It was the first one we both had a copy of.

I like Stephen king. That one scared me. He is brilliant at building tension. There are themes throughout many of his books from that time period.

I read so many of his books when they were new releases but have not reread them in several decades. I am looking forward to having a goal more than the story.

I have a few Steinbeck novels. The Pearl, Tortilla Flat and Of Mice and Men. Great storyteller.

So cool! 😀

I know more about the movies made from Stephen King books than the books. Like Children of the Corn. Hope this is a good book!!!

The idea started from a tv show I binge watched recently. Legends of Tomorrow. The idea behind their book club was not so much about books but a way to bond or complain in a safe circle among friends.
