 Good morning everyone.

I hope this finds everyone doing well.

With this post I'm mainly speaking to middle-aged women.

I have had a hard struggle with menopause and my chronic depression.

I felt like I was going thru Hell on my knees for a couple of years. Finally thru prayer it popped in my mind what was happening.

Has anyone else had trouble w/this?

Yes I went through the change with depression too. I found the only thing which really helped me was HRT which your doctor can prescribe.

Hey! I am on progesterone now. With the menopause and my MS it has been a real Rollercoaster.

I was really lucky but my cousin and friend had a hard time. I second looking into HRT. It really helped my friend and while it isn't for everyone the negative stuff you hear is mostly misinformation.

I have had a hard time with menopause making my depression worse because of how much menopause has affected my sleep, primarily with having hot flashes that wake me up. I am on HRT, which has helped, but still struggle a lot of the time. I am working on my insomnia issues and am hoping to get more sleep soon. Just wanted you to know - you are not alone!

Thank you for your reply. Women should talk to each other regarding menopause.

Agreed. I think we need to talk about all the hormonal stuff women deal with: periods, childbirth, postpartum depression, menopause, etc... more. Being a female is hard!

We shouldn't have to hide it either.

catsrock How are you feeling today? Thank you for your reply. You are exactly right. If people did talk about all this not just women but men too. From the beginning.. I mean like at the beginning of America..... . Abortion would probably be in the Preamble.

I'm good because I had a good night's sleep - better one than I've had in awhile. How about you?

I am up. I slept ok. There was a bad thunderstorm here last nite. My dogs could not handle it. So I was up consoling them. I am still sleepy.

I'm glad your sleep was ok instead of bad. I hope you can get some rest during the day today.
