Hello everyone, so sometimes it feels like when having anxiety, all is dark, everything I think about gets me more anxious, so it feels like this no-escape hell where it’s never ending, that’s how it feels in the moment, it’s so horrible really. And I find it hard to get out of the many many intrusive negative thoughts which go a million miles per second, even breathing deeply feels wrong. I’m scared at night too because I feel like there’s no one to talk to or reach If I’m feeling this way. I sometimes like staying awake all night, but there are some times where I’m fine and suddenly for whatever reason I feel like I’m in like another reality, almost as if I was on some kind of stuff where I can’t think properly, I feel like all the past memories that helped me or made me happy in the past (past being sometimes hours ago) are hostile and that scares me even more and I feel there’s no escape. It’s horrible I hope I can get any sort of support from anyone. And also I’d like to ask you if there’s any sort of hotline or discord where when I’m feeling super anxious I can always talk to someone, even if it’s a stranger. Ty so much for reading and wish everyone best of luck

Overwhelming anxiety
First and foremost, welcome to this site.
This community from the short time that I have been here, has been both positive and supportive to me, and there are a lot of good people here.
Take a look around, and hopefully you will find other topics/replies that you can relate with.

Has a doctor ever officially diagnosed you with anxiety?
You sound a lot like a younger version than myself, and what you are going through is (for the most part normal).
I say for the most part, because we all have anxiety at different levels.
.
So my question to you is whether you have been officially diagnosed with anxiety from a doctor? (or did they tell you that you are stressed out)
If you have been diagnosed, did they give you any meds or instructions on what to do?
I recognize that what I am telling you may not seem like a lot of help, but at the same time everyone is different.
Finally, how long has this been going on. Recently? Weeks? Months? ETC.
Hello Yannini. I know how difficult this is, I’m in a similar situation! I’m about to have a nervous breakdown on top of other health problems I currently have.
Dear Yannini,
I would suggest you make an appointment with a licensed mental health professional (if you aren't meeting with one already) to discuss the things you have shared with us. Anxiety is common, but it is recommended to seek treatment if it interferes with your daily life or you feel that the anxiety is too intense.
One thing I've done a lot when I have felt depressed or very anxious is call prayer lines to ask someone to pray for me over the phone. I've found many of those phones numbers using Google.
Also, I know of a counseling team that offers a no-cost consultation. You can call (855) 382-5433 and ask to speak with one licensed or pastoral counselor. One of them will get back with you and listen to you and pray with you and give you referrals for counselors in your area.
I hope you are able to go outside for walks and if you could do it regularly, I know it will help a lot.
God bless you every day!
