I feel like there's more information that we need to know, before we can say one way or the other, but I will say this. Anxiety and depression can go hand in hand.
For example - If you have chronic anxiety, (BTW I do) you can get depressed at times for having chronic anxiety.
.
Tips?
Have you tried journaling? (just getting your negative thoughts out on paper)
If you still can't walk, then try to get as much outside air as possible. (AKA open windows, and get as much fresh air, that's very good for you)
Reaching out to any family or friends can be of great help.
Last but not least. being a part of this community of getting help and giving help (at least IMO) can be very therapeutic.
Thank you for your post which reminds us that with so many viruses around, we are all a target and may suffer effects long after the main symptoms have passed.
Post-viral fatigue refers to lingering feelings of extreme tiredness after a viral illness. It’s a complex condition that experts don’t fully understand, which can make diagnosis and treatment difficult.
I often recommend the website below to answer really common questions like:-
What is post-viral fatigue? What are the symptoms of post-viral fatigue?
Hi rossmack, you may be getting anxious or tired of being sick for so longbut know that the symptoms you are experiencing now are not the norm for anxiety.
Whatever is going on needs to be addressed by your doctor. Let them decide if you should
be on medication or are you just treating the unknown. Well wishes sent to you. Let us know what your doctor has to say. We care xx
Hi the doctor said I have depression and anxiety , maybe something alse as not been in employed in 10 years and I keep getting same story’s from company’s, before my fatigue and aches I was active person going to gym a lot, walking , martial arts, volunteering..I have feel that my body is nervous when walking into larger groups which the people all my friends and felt my legs were tied and when I went back home I was ok
Now these symptoms rossmack of having tired legs, nervous when in large groups butfine when you got back home can very well be a part of General Anxiety as well as
Agoraphobia...*fear of the open market space or social anxiety...
Fatigue and Aches can also come from anxiety/depression since the body gets worn down being in constant anxiousness. I had developed Fibromyalgia after having anxiety.
I still say it's the runny nose, sore throat and cough that are not a part of anxiety and need to be addressed by your doctor so you don't worry as much.
As for the fatigue and aches, think of being in a fight or flight stance for hours each day, possibly not getting a good quality night's sleep then tell me how you could feel
any better. It's not about medication to feel better but about working on the situation and issues around you so that you are able to relax. Not doing anything physical can also cause fatigue and tiredness since the body is made to move. The more we succumb to not feeling good, the stiffer our muscles get.
I am just waiting for my therapist which was made by my doctors so I hope soon. I do use salt water for my sore throat and Vicks rub to rub on my body at night which does help me a lot.
I hope you get a therapist soon as well. I think you will see the benefits of itby talking out your issues as well as the therapist putting you on a better path forward. xx
