Streaming tips for Memorial Day?

blue-green-purple profile image

Looking for a distraction for Memorial Day. Any suggestions for comedies or feel good series or movies on HBO/Max or Netflix? What are some of your favorites? Just trying to take my mind off of being alone on a holiday and maybe even smile once or twice. Thanks in advance.

Get a trial to Apple TV! The subscription is 1/3 the price of Netflix and way better. The sci fi are all escape worthy. The morning show is funny. Cody won the Oscar. Feel good movie. If you want to go to the theater I laughed out loud at Everything Everywhere All at Once. It isn’t easy to get me to laugh out loud at a movie. So frenetic and then emotional like a punch in the heart at the end. I see you identify as female. You’ll totally get why that matters.

Thanks. That's a good idea. I think they might have the Beatles documentary I really want to see. Hope so!

No, just googled it. Beatles: Get Back is on Disney + but I might try it anyway.

Do. It is just a trial. I just canceled Netflix for the second time because it is too difficult to find anything through all the noise. I’m down to apple, kanopy which is free, they have really good newish and old movies. pbs and ….that’s it! I don’t even miss them. I’ve been reading more too. I forgot how immersive it can be.

Memorial Day's past, but next time you want a distraction, here's one of my favorites. It's a short.

Wow. Beautifully done. In an unsafe world, save someone and you just might save yourself. Love it. Thank you!

I agree, it's a beautiful film. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It makes the Outback look pretty scary though, doesn't it?

Yes but to be honest, I'm agoraphobic so going through my front door is pretty scary.

The bilby had a pretty scary front door too. I could relate to that. Anxiety makes everything seem almost impossible to me. Like everyday activities require mountain-climbing ability.

I feel lonely sometimes too. I have a few movies I watch when I'm depressed. Bad Boys, Jumanji, Dog, Why Him and What Men Want. I’ve been using Netflix for a long time, but there aren’t a lot of movies, so I decided to try something else. In this article firestickhow.com/kodi-addon..., I found addon The Magic Dragon. It’s the best app for streaming movies for me.
