Make me Better

My contract was terminated today and I wanted to be there. I started hurting the people around me with my words because I was stressed. I hurt good people and I feel ashamed and awful about it. How can I be better with the way I speak to people when I'm upset? How can I control myself better?

You are human. Humans have emotions, and we make mistakes.

IMO.. The best thing that you can do is forgive yourself, (I know that it's easier said than done) and hopefully you will fell better over time. If you have emails from the people you hurt, and feel the need to say "my bad" that's OK too. I'm sure that they will understand.

Finally.. This is a learning experience for you, and hopefully you won't make the same mistake next time. Take care. :)

I agree with Anxious silver and what he said really good advice 😃 . When i want to say something mean i write it down on a piece of paper and crumble it or rip it apart and throw it in the trash it releases frustration in a healthy way .

That is something that I learned back in the day myself, and it is a solid tool to use.

The earlier that you learn that in life the better.

& On a side note, and this goes to anyone/everyone here if you guys/gals want to call me "Silver" (for the sake of less typing), that's totally cool.

Silver was my OG username that I wanted, but somebody already took it. :)

I chose Silver, because I do a lot of Black and White thinking. (this is also known as "All or Nothing" thinking)

I was told that instead of finding black or white, that I should always try to find the grey. (AKA the middle ground)

But when you have depression swings, (for me) finding the grey feels more depressing, and silver is the next closest color, which I find more uplifting.

Hence why I chose the name Silver. :)

Most of my life yea, email was there Mostly AOL 😂.. Social media was not a thing yet.. So it was a non issue.. Times have changed

One way to tackle this is to sew the anger as a Fire alarm going off in your body telling you there's problems that need addressing and when it sounds and you want to lash out tell yourself stop go out of the room and think things through and ask yourself what is it about this that upsets me and why?

I have been there in my younger years. Self control is an art to be practiced. When you feel a strong emotion coming on, think before you speak, count to ten,, walk away to gain your composure. Now I try to practice The Golden Rule: Treat others the way I wish to be treated. Losing friends, jobs and spouses over lack of self control leads to a very lonely life.
