Doing the bare minimum

Sometimes I can’t bring myself to do it all. With depression, hygiene is the hardest thing in the world to accomplish. So today o celebrate a small victory.

I didn’t feel like showering but I decided to wash my hair. That’s it. But I did something. And that’s all I can ask for.

Hi Jenny I can definitely relate! I am glad you decided to celebrate your win instead of being upset that you didn’t get a big win! You can do this, one task at a time!

I totally understand as I went through it. Take baby steps in accomplishing things & look at anything you do as moving forward. Try to write down a few goals for the next day before you go to bed & if you do just one, make it a point to cross it out. Then try to focus on one more on your list.

I like your comment. I am so depressed it takes me hours to get dressed in the morning. The idea of baby steps can bring some success I hope
