I have struggled with GAD, depression, and ADD for years. I have been (and am currently) in therapy and seeing a psychiatrist. A few months ago, things got really bad for various reasons. I wound up in the hospital and then went through a partial hospitalization day program. I had to quit my very stressful job and I am kind of at loose ends now. I have a lot of support. I want to work again doing something but I have to be very careful about the level of stress I take on. I was at my last job for over a decade and trying to find something new is so anxiety provoking. I am still struggling a lot with symptoms. I know support is important so I decided to do this.

Your story is very similar to mine. I was hospitalized and now on three different meds. I am retired now and enjoying babysitting for grandchildren. My new meds are working. Years ago, I had to take time off from work because of depression.

Welcome. I know what you mean. I've had depression and anxiety for a long time and was just hospitalized too. I just went back to work and functioning is really difficult but I had no choice. Needed to pay bills. I have a new therapist and psychiatrist too and new meds. But still in a lot of pain

You could try and find a job that mirrors your hobbies or happy things
