Went to the doctor today. Told him I need help. Quitting smoking cigarettes had ruined my life. I’m regretting ever quitting. Told him what I’ve tried. He tells me I’m on my own. No answer to living smoke free. I’m glad o finally got a doctor to admit the truth.

I’m sorry, I don’t think I understand. You went to the doctor because you want to start smoking?

No, but I love that idea. Maybe I should start asking the doctors to give me a reason to not smoke. I’ve been smoke free for over 3.5 years. I have zero positive things to say about it. My life has only become worse.

Are you on any meds?I quit 3 years ago yesterday. It's been hell. Like my anxiety went up 1000% after quiting But lexapro has helped a ton for me.

I mean it sucks but not be able to breath sucks more. Can't leave the house with out my inhaler now...

I tried meds. 7 different types over the years. Don’t work for me. I can eat Benzos by the handful and feel nothing. I’m back to diet and exercise to fill that empty hole quitting has left. I don’t drink or do drugs so I’m riding that straight edge lifestyle right now.

Since you're here I'm guessing quitting has left you with considerable anxiety? Did you want to quit, or feel pressured by someone else? Because that's the game changer; I've quit several times, once for 12 years, and only found it hard when I didn't feel it was my choice. I'm a smoker atm, by the way!

Doctor talked about the future for a smoker. That’s part of the issue I have with quitting and being unhappy. I’m met with people talking about the downside to smoking. But think about it. Do we actually think smokers don’t know what’s coming? Do people think a smoker thinks they are healthy. We don’t know we are throwing are money away with our health? Even my doctor can’t see or think about the reason why people slowly kill then selves. They just say quit and live with it.
